MU shows brilliance by mothballing plant at wrong time Thanks to CWG on the FOOL ======================================================= Appleton's late-January decision to mothball a $2.5 billion plant in Lehi, Utah It's my understanding this plant was mothballed not once, but twice, during construction. I don't believe the plant ever even opened. Construction began years ago (early or mid 90's) with lots of fanfare and promise, and a whole town practically sprang up around it in anticipation. Construction was going gangbusters for a while, then stopped, then began again a year or two later. Now it's stopped again, and nobody's holding their breath this time.
