<The processor runs with DMA and the USB and other fast output ports are also DMA.>

Are you sure you know what you are talking about??

Not working on some desktop project, simulate half a mobile
phone on three pentium desktops?? (in a minivan, another
popular topic??=

Ilmarinen.

<The MSM could be run off of an 8051 micro>

how many CPU-DSPs or programmed multipliers does the MSM contain??

8052s are still used to run refrigators, 8051s had too little
memory and are based on the limitation of a common
8 bit data-program external bus, pin-limited chips in the
80s, and used 12 clock cycles to perform one lousy
instruction.

32 bit RISC architectures like the ARM have totally replaced
that type of architectures as the level of integration has
increased.

engineer,

<< So you believe the marketing hype, eh? ... a wintel'ism >>

No. Just a victim of it like everybody else. <g>

<< If they took all the CRAP out of windows, your 100 Mhz pentium would be fast enough >>

.... and thats for sure.

<< The 2.4 Mbps is not fast if you handle the block as a data entity rather than each bit. The processor runs with DMA and the USB and other fast output ports are also DMA >>

Most appreciative of your comments. You get my vote for SI "Cool Post" of the day.
