Interesting concept. I wasn't previously familiar with that axiom.

This week's Newsweek magazine had an article** indicating a similar buying/selling time frame during an election year. It said, "you'll get...a pullback in September and then a strong rally until the election.” FWIW.

I think the next 7 or 8 weeks will be interesting time period to watch. Personally, I may get back in the market on or about Sept 29 [the 30th is on a Saturday].
