Interesting article Kraemer. Thanks for bringing it. Let's assume for a minute that microFlash is as good as the Saifun press says it is. In all seriousness, how do you determine who the real winner will be from microFlash? Will it be Saifun, Tower Semi, Sandisk, Toshiba, or some other player?

I would assume Sandisk got some significant concessions in addition to stock certificates in exchange for the 75 million dollar investment in Tower. Likewise, I am assuming Toshiba got significant concessions from Tower for sharing Toshiba's advanced production processes.

The article also says Saifun is "rumuored" to be IPOing soon. Seems like if you are really sold on microFlash, then investing in Saifun, the owner of microFlash IP, might be the best way to capitalize on microFlash. But an investment in Sandisk may give a person a call on the success of microFlash as well as participation in Sandisk's current success.

Where are you placing your flash bets? Thanks again for bringing the article.

Best, Huey
