Today Show & Money Magazine Free advertising for Echostar in mainstream media: The October Money magazine has some pictures of Dish equipment along with this nice write-up: "Good news for those pining for more channels to watch on television: Prices of digital-TV satellite systems have dropped dramatically since the beginning of the year. Echostar's DISHPlayer 7100, for instance, was selling for $500 in January; it now costs $200 (To find a dealer, click on www.echostar.com or call 800-333-3474). The system comes with a keyboard and built-in modem for using WebTV and surround-sound capability. If you sign up for a year of EchoStar's premium service-- 108 channels, including eight movie channels, for $40 a month-- you get the satellite dish for $200 off (in other words, free). " ON THE TODAY SHOW this morning: "We've got several products today that cover all the bases. Right now high-definition tv is one of the most popular things. People want it in their system. Some cities it's hard to get. The dish network has a new receiver it's $500 that is high definition so it can receive digital hbo and digital showtime in high depth. $500. It also can receive it off air if you live in a city that has high def. Is it a good idea to invest in this now, corey are enough networks broadcasting in high def that you're going to see the advantage? Some of the shows are now on nbc they're doing "the tonight show" in high def every day. You're going to see more and more proamming in high def as time proesses. & It's still pretty new but it's out there and to get it the dish is a great way get it."
