Specific VDSL comments...

Said most questions he's been getting are around this. (Go
figure!)

Sees 3 phases:

1) can it work, servicable, processes to bill? Can it
compete with cable? "A resounding Yes".

2) can they drive cost of deployment down to the point where
the cost spent in VDSL can provide a similar return to their
investments in Internet, DSL, or wireless? Working with
their suppliers - in particular NXTV (specifically addressed)
- to achieve that. Not there yet. "Too early" to say.
Comitted to Phoenix, Denver remains under evaluation.
"Maintaining current contract commitments."

3) Broader deployment.

So NXTV is facing pricing pressure (we expected this) from
Q for broader deployment. They're happy with NXTV, their
simply trying to bring their cost down to match ROI in other
areas. In other words, Q >wants< to pursue VDSL, but only
if they can justify the costs by comparison to other high
margin areas they're targeting.

Returning to CC, Q&A currently in progress.
