Elizabeth, based on that definition, I would not say that MicroOS is an RTOS. I have to assume that those words came directly from EDIG (correct me if I am wrong) so we have to accept their description as accurate. That did not describe an RTOS. They can call it a "real time system" I suppose (really, any software that isn't batch-oriented data processing software could be called "real time", LOL!) but that doesn't make it an RTOS. VxWorks is an RTOS. pSOS is an RTOS. But the software described in that post is not an RTOS.
