Yes, the question with RMBS in my opinion is not IF but when. It does not matter to me anyway. I never play all the games in the casino.

Hi Kieth,

I'm sure by now you understand that Voltaire's focus is on stress free living. He has been quite successful in this strategy.

Yes, covering 1/2 will limit upside. It also limits down side too. In Volt's case, he is using some of that $$$ for stress free living.

It seems you tend to swing with the volatility in your investment strategy. If that works for you, fine. I think Voltman likes to hedge his positions, to a point, with writing CC's on half of his holdings. IMO, in a market mildly bullish or better, this should allow for growth in the portfolio as well as income. It provides limited down side protection (depends on how much CC $$$ you spend), yet leaves him flexible to make defensive & offensive moves. It also allows you to manage your portfolio without watching every RTQ while feverishly monitoring your underlying equities.

It's not about hitting home runs with every last dollar. It's about quality of life. Volt has the confidence, the experience & his angels to allow him to do this.

I want to grow my wings too.
