James: I have both long term equity positions in my portfolio, and positions in equities I like to trade because of their volatile nature. When I put on my traders hat I follow 3 rules. 1) The equity must have a certain volatility (intraday swings of 2 pts or more on average). 2) The equity must have a daily trading volume in excess of 1 Million shares. 3) I must have sufficient time observing the equity to feel comfortable with its "habits." By the way, when I say trader, I don't mean strictly intraday. Sometimes I'll maintain a position for two days, and sometimes up to a week if momentum carries it in my favor.

Of these 3 rules MRVC meets the first two. Now I'm monitoring it closely to derive its "habits." A habit which right now looks like all down. By the by, I too noticed that flurry right there at the end which popped it from ~65.5 to ~$67.25 in a matter of minutes. Shortie covering it could very well be. It could also be a signal that this CURRENT rout is over.

But I'm gonna have to watch it more before I'll be comfortable this is the case, as I also tend to ignore the potential ramifications of the first 30 minutes, and last 30, of trading (these periods tend to be times of exxageration imho). Now on to tomorrow.

John~
