One reason for TXN's recent and continuing weakness is that Burr Brown had to be taken off SPX index at the time when deal was consummated. This then triggered massive sell-off by the index fund managers. So, in this respect, it's not TXN's fault, rather the other way around.<g> [So much for finger-pointing.]

I own a sizable position in TXN, including common and LEAPS calls. From all the information available to me, the stock/company remains to have a bright outlook. I just hope the management of TXN would sit down for a minute, taking inventories of their company, rather than continue on the shopping spree. Wall Street certainly perceives that TXN may have indigestion problems.
