I use 13/21 or 10/21 for the EMA's. I agree that a momentum indicator on the MA's would be helpful. Obviously I am looking for peeks and valleys, but I also pay attention to crossovers and when the 10/13 EMA gets significantly ahead of the 21 -- i.e., where there is a decent distance between them.

I will shortly be doing more testing in MetaStock. It's a pain in the a** to maintain the data separately like that, but so much more can be done in MS.

Do you use only daily timeframes? I am wary of whipsaws in lower timeframes, but have lately been playing with 130min timeframe.

The use of equity p/c is mentioned by many authors, but I have yet to come across any detailed backtesting or discussion. Do you know of any?

(Perhaps we should move this to PM?) Cheers --Allan
