IMHO, there aren't enough Athlons available for Dell. Dell may want some and AMD may wish they could pick up Dell as a customer, but with Intel ending at 1GHZ, and Dresden starting at 1GHZ, AMD will have trouble satisfying Gateway, IBM, and Compaq, much less Dell. From an output ready to sell standpoint, Dresden will be less than 50% ramped in Q4.

With a stock sale, maybe AMD could break ground on the new Austin FAB and the Dresden expansion simultaneously. That still wouldn't get chips to Dell this year.
