Ish, a friend of mine got a summer job during college at a brewery. They put him to work cleaning vats. The first day he cleaned five. The union steward got him aside and told him, "Buddy, if you want to get along here you will clean no more than 2 per day." A 60% reduction in productivity because of the union. Terrible.

True in the productive sector. The real growth going forward for union membership is in government jobs. Gore promises more of those in abundance.
