this news has been out all day (almost makes it ancient!), but in a perverse way, i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't help pop the stock. the underlying fact here is that PALM os is big. the arrival of a virus stamps PALM with celebrity status....

i disagree. i think it's real. i do agree that the component shortage can be used as an excuse by some companies that are not executing.

I don't think they should even be called lcd - they are just digital display of some sort.

While my SO's cell barely qualifies as having a screen at all, every cell I've owned over the past three years has definetely had an LCD screen. My latest one is actually quite large, capable of showing 10 lines of text.

I'm sure some companies are using the component thing as an excuse, however it is also true that there are actual shortages out there.
