DEMO mobile 2000

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 2000--

Radical new patent-pending technology allows users to transfer

information of their choice from any web site or email to the

appropriate application on wireless and

non-wireless Palm OS(R) device

Coola Inc., the developer of a new technology that provides an open, new pipe
to carry any information from the World Wide Web to Palm applications in a
single click, today launched a wireless extension to the Coola(R) service,
offering a total convergence solution to bridge the gap between the Web and
mobile and wireless devices.

Coola's radical new patent-pending technology, which allows users to transfer
information of their choice from any web site or email to the appropriate
application on any Palm OS(R) device, was unveiled at the DEMOmobile 2000
conference. DEMOmobile focuses on the best of new products and
technologies designed to meet the needs of mobile professionals. Coola was
selected from a list of about 400 technology companies to showcase its
product at the conference.

"Coola offers a new communication mechanism that allows any Web site
owner to Palm enable their site in five minutes without worrying whether the
user is a wireless user or a non-wireless user who syncs later," said Sudha
Jamthe, President of Coola. "Coola is the first to offer this technology to carry
any information from the Web to Palm applications allowing users to take
information and share it directly with their friends' Palm in a single click
without worrying about the underlying technology and wireless connectivity of
the receiver."

"I have confidence in Coola's outstanding management team and I know that
they will be the leading innovators in this exciting new mobile information
management space." said Paul English Vice President of Technology, Intuit
Small Business Division, and a member of Coola Inc. Board of Directors.

The Coola service includes:

-- Users take charge! A user can simply fill a form at

www.coola.com or at any of the Coola partner sites with the

information they want to send to Palm. The user then has a

choice of taking the information to their own Palm, sending it

to a friend's Palm, putting it in an email, or pasting it on

their web-site for the world to use. Because Coola buttons are

created for specific pieces of information, Palm users can

pick and choose the information that is relevant to them

without being forced to take the entire web page.

-- Transfer Information by Email: Coola is the only service that

allows email users to transfer contact, event, or other

information to sync to a Palm device.

-- Palm enable Web Sites in Five Minutes: With Coola, web site

owners can Palm enable their sites in five minutes or less,

and extend their brand into the mobile space.

-- "Send to a Friend's Palm": Coola allows users to share

information such as job leads, movie schedules, and party

invitations directly with their friend's Palm.

The Opportunity

Ms. Jamthe said: "Coola is creating a new convergence space in carrying
information from the Web to mobile users by operating at the application layer
and freeing users and Web sites from worrying about who is wireless and what
technology they are using."

"Coola's Circle of Friends works equally well with conventional Palm platform
devices as well as wireless handhelds like the Palm VII and with Omnisky,"
said Jim Forbes, the producer of DEMOmobile 2000. "It's intuitive and allows
you to quickly send information of all types, including appointments or
addresses, directly to another Palm user, making it easier to coordinate and
share information as you move between a desktop and a mobile or wireless
device."
