< PWI has a yield of about 23% based on dividends of .16/month.>

Yahoo only has .10 month in their system, I've found they're pretty acurate normally, but must have missed this one?? Or is that your estimate of where the dividend is going?

PWI v NCA
Actually, I got that wrong. PWI pays more of its dividend from earnings. That implies its reserve life index might be longer. However, PWI earns less per dollar of unit price (i.e., a lower PE ratio.

The dividends from an O&G trust basically come out of earnings and depreciation/depletion (i.e., out of cash flow). The depletion and reserve figures are subject to re-adjustment with changing commodity prices, so they may be restated soon.

As for the yield, it probably isn't fair to use .16 as the dividend from PWI, as they did that only for the last month. 10 cents is more typical, which is what NCA also pays.
