The July issue of Wired had an article featuring Transmeta. It's a must read for any gg'er who would like to track a competitor, gearing up to challenge a "silverback".

It's been a long time since I looked at Wired, so thanks for the reminder. I must admit that I have a built-in bias against the magazine because its name doesn't fit well with my investment in Qualcomm. :)

I do agree that Red Herring uses a lot of style. Find me a magazine, for instance, that doesn't publish those stupid annual 100-list features and I'll take a serious look. RH's list included EMC this year but not last year, presumably because only this year does the company have the capability of "changing the world." Sheesh! What a ridiculous label to put on a company!

By the way, preferred sources of information are not off-topic. They are an important part of the manual.
