Sounds like you have a nice place, Tim. We have lots of birds as well, especially the Finches like you. Also, we have two cats that we have to watch when they're out because of all the birds. One cat will get in the big feeder and sit..... bad news for the birds of course.

I've got a pride (if that's the right word) of Anna's hummingbirds in my back yard. I put up two feeders this year to reduce congestion, but there is one feisty male that thinks he owns the whole darn yard; even challenges me when I try to refresh the hummer-juice. My weight advantage doesn't intimidate him at all.
