Hi all; Day's DDR news. Report on MSI DDR plans, photo included:

Les futures cartes mères MSI Sep 9, 2000
Chipset VIA Apollo Pro 266

- 2 slots pour mémoire DDR
- 3 slots DIMM pour SDRam

A noter que les cartes mères supportant la mémoire DDR devraient apparaître dans le courant du mois de Novembre.

Carl, 1st Crusoe is SDRAM only, not DDR. Don't you think it is more likely that this Vaio will only use SDRAM?

I looked on the Sony site for info, but could find none. I tried the Japanese site, but since I am "uncultured", I couldn't navigate the site to look for clues -- ie. tm5400 versus tm5600.

So, unless you have info to the contrary, don't you agree that it is more likely the SDRAM only tm5400, and means nothing with respect to DDR deployment?
