Dear QS: Oil stocks may be the place to be. AND as you might guess, I AM THERE!! Bought in at the ABSOLUTE BOTTOM into an oil unit trust, since have tripled my money!! Beats PUTS!! haha JDN

...but I completely agree with you. --- Qwiksand, you agree with everything. <g> --- The reason I don't believe that an oil shock looms, and why in fact I sold a CHV position last year is because I believe with all of this consolidation, the oil companies are a phone call away from congressional hearings and the implicit threat of re-regulation. --- They are so in control of the price of oil. Pointing to taxes and Alaskan wilderness reserves; pointing the finger back at govt, isn't going to do it for them. We're in a whole different place with oil than we used to be. --- My sense is that the oil cos are really pushing the envelope and there isn't a lot of upside from here. -JCJ
