Two paragraphs: As far as the nearest future of DDR SDRAM is concerned, this memory type is nearly ready to start its conquering campaign. According to the latest forecasts, 10-15% of all systems should be using this memory type by the end of this year already. Both chipset manufacturers interested in the success of DDR SDRAM - VIA and AMD - are also preparing for the autumn launch of DDR chipsets. ... This mainboard has already undergone several tests with PC266 DDR SDRAM, which showed the average performance gain of about 10-15% compared to PC133 SDRAM. Well, RDRAM wasn't even close to these results that's why Rambus seems to be losing the last hope. And that is just the beginning: the first chipset and the first mainboard.
