LONDON, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 index of leading shares was down more
than 100 points or 1.5 percent on Friday afternoon, dropping on concern that soaring oil
prices could spark inflation and hit company margins.

`There's a fear that no matter what OPEC does over the weekend, they are not going to have a material effect on the oil
price,'' said an equity salesman.

What a bunch of clowns. Don't they know oil doesn't matter anymore - the BLS has told us so. That is it doesn't matter until the price drops, then that news will be bullish. -s-
