Greg, NT has also told JDSU that they don't want them to be their sole supplier. I posted this a bit back, but it's good to recheck. The text on that is about half way down this link (I bolded it of course).

Both the CSCO and NT bits could be positive for LUMN. I forwarded the NT article to Noam to be sure he saw it.

<<i understand LUMN is now running 2 shifts at their production facilities ... hopefully, that will help CSCO's component problems.>>

I'm just picking up on this post of yours now.

Greg, that fits very nicely with this job posting information that Kaka on Yahoo! posted yesterday. There are references to "2nd shift" further down - "assemblers", which apparently runs 8:00PM to 4:30 AM (ugh).

This seems like significant "tooling up", and is very welcome news just prior to IPO - and afterwards too as earnings growth should be spectacular.

Knowing CSCO is a customer, knowing their critical need for components, and remembering that I don't think they were on two shifts the last time I toured MRVC, are all indications that LUMN is stretching to help out at least one valued customer. Perhaps they are helping both of their major customers because articles of MCNY wins have been posted. Or maybe we will get (or are getting) a piece of NT's business for second sourcing some components they are getting from JDSU now, and that they stated they don't want JDSU to be sole supplier.

Yes, I think the LUMN IPO will do just fine! <g>
