Transmeta's made no secret out of the fact that in terms of performance, their chips doesn't come close to rivaling those that AMD and Intel offer.

So, from Innovators Dilemma we would learn that they shouldn't try to tackle Intel head on for PCs or even laptops (which we knew from GG anyway), but there might well be new markets where the particular qualities of the Transmeta approach are more important than raw power. I.e., to me anyway, watch and wait and see if they figure out what those new markets are. Super-phones sounds like an interesting possibility.
