<<Philips to use Microsoft software in set-top boxes
NEW YORK, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Philips Electronics (NYSE:PHG - news) said on Friday it would license Microsoft Corp.'s (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) Enhanced TV software for use in its set-top boxes and collaborate with the software giant on developing new products with Microsoft software.>>

Gosh that's exciting. Basically, "Microsoft has changed the name of its WebTV-based technologies yet again, and Philips has announced that it would continue to use it in its WebTV products, while out of the other side of its mouth Philips reiterated that it would make Liberate/AOL boxes."

Keep those innovations rolling, Microsoft licensees!!!
