On a longer term perspective I agree with you. But, short term the street is slaming the sector due to the drying up of access to cheap capital to fund build outs and the consolidation in the industry which is delaying spending. This is traditional a weak Q with the slow down in Europe since most of Europe is on vacation in July or August.
As the market conditions are weak right now, focusing on the bottom line is the issue of the day amd right now a lot of companies are not making money and are cash flow negative.

We have seen this before, but as inflation final takes hold as evidence by the rise in oil prices, the telecoms will lose their access to cheap capital. How long that continues will determine the lenght of the current decline.
