I would not want to own a traditional long distance carrier for anything right now. There is no doubt in my mind that these cash rich companies are going to lose market share if they do not broaden their services to offer much more than voice services. They will have to spend lots of money to upgrade equipment and possibly acquire smaller companies that offer the kind of equipment necessary to offer full broadband services to the masses. We are not going to be satisfied with voice alone when we can have the whole enchilada at prices that compare favorably to our old long distance monthly telephone bills. Just as you saw the EMS companies were at all time highs now when the Semiconductors are at risk you will also see the market separate those equipment manufacturers that are offering true broadband capabilities going forward. That is why I have placed my bets on NTPA and CCBL but there are many such companies like CMTN perhaps that will prove to be huge winners in the future. As always, just my opinion.
