Weak Nasdaq should help energy sector in coming months.

The SOX was taken out and shot today down about 5%.

Seems to me the #1 semiconductor stock AMAT is in a downtrend making new lows (and not a consolidation pattern). It's now below it's 50 and 200 dma's again. I'm not sure the Nasdaq can find new leadership if the semi's break down.

Weak Nasdaq, high energy prices...can you say bear market? The Nasdaq is completely momentum driven these days. Watch the mood of the market if it starts heading down again. Oct is going to be rough for techs given the tax selling that is yet to come imho.

Next week looks pretty critical for the Nasdaq.
