You make a very faulty assumption there. OPEC nations are very mistrustful of each other and they know that US folks are sitting fat, dumb and happy, thinking Grerenspan has everything under control. They would like to see nothing more than the blue-eyed devils brought to their knees. Who provides Israel with oil. It's not the Arabs. We do. What better way to gain their Palestinian brethren a land deal. Unlike our weak kneed leader, the Israelis may decide to get their oil by force. Where does that leave us? I know this is just an opinion, but we don't have anywhere to bargain from. The current administration, i.e. Gore, has done nothing for the last 8 years to improve our energy policy. So we are left sucking hind tit. As for the Republicans driving all the gas guzzlers, what an assinine comment. Ever drive by the parking lot of a steel mill or auto factory. Not a bunch of Hondas and Toyotas.knc

I thought it was republicans that were not supposed to be compassionate. Another Democrat shows their true colors.

P.S. It is no true that Republicans own SUV's and big houses, I bet Barbara Streisand's house is bigger than mine. So that statement was a bunch of hyperbole.
