I guess we can expect the same spike on per customer sales during this Christmas. Assuming flat quarter to quarter revenue growth (which is quite likely) we should expect AMZN to post sales, before allowing for new customers, of $815 million.

Traditionally every Christmas AMZN has attracted new buyers. This number is difficult to gauge. I'd say 10-20%. So accounting for this we would have sales during X-mas in the range $900-1000 million.

Enter the Toys-R-Us deal. I don't know how Amazon intends to report revenues from this, but Bezos is really good with figures, as he was a financial nerd in a previous incarnation.

Therefore we can assume AMZN will report the revenue in the way that maximizes its impact on the top-line (for example book the sale at full price, and then have a negative charge in the "customer promotions" line to account for the on-line discount :-). Thus we need to add another $100-200 million,

All in all, AMZN is likely the top line during Q4 2000 will be anywhere in the $1000-1200 million range.
