The sad thing for them is that they mean nothing to Gore. Gore is self centered and wouldn't even acknowledge any one of them. I have found it interesting in our city in that when the Republican candidate comes to town they have a meeting open to everyone. Then they may have a fundraising meeting in addition. When the democratic candidate comes to town they meet with a handpicked group or are here only for a fundraiser. I don't remember when a Democratic candidate for President came and had a rally open to all. They may take a walk, heavily guarded, through a black neighborhood. But, no public meetings for the Democrats.
