let me ask you to consider something... we have had an economic boom - nobody
doubts that. But why? Don't underestimate the role of markets outside the US being pretty
depressed -- and the cost of energy being dirt cheap. The US economy never hit the wall from
too much growth because the rest of the world was flat on its butt. No more.


The economic boom was and still is due to the efficiecies brought on by technology. A lot of the increases energy consumption is due to waste ie. SUVs. As a general rule, products can now be produced with less energy. I do not agree that our economy has hit a wall. Today's market action was an overaction to a factor that will not take down the economy.
