Dear Charles and all: In my previous life backlog was a heavily discussed item. Companies are very reluctant to release backlog figures as it can be so fluid. Ie backlog is by definition UNBOOKED ORDERS thus subject to cancellation etc. Every public company I ever worked with was VERY conservative when they were FORCED to release backlog annually in the 10K as they fear potential shareholder lawsuits if it vaporizes. I suspect SUNW's REAL BACKLOG is probably EVEN HIGHER then they admit too. If someone wants to take the time, calculate the average weekly volume of shipments in $$ and multiply that by the stated delivery dates and see how it compares. JDN
