No, we don't want to see that, but I think that is the ultimate outcome and unavoidable. And while dell isn't as crazy as some companies, they are at the forefront of the majors.

I frankly don't care if the insiders rape shareholders through options. What I care about is everyone knows that is what is going on. But given the current state of investing judgement, I don't think it would matter. If you have a 60 PE, why not have a 500 PE?

Many companies would earn nothing if options were considered and the fact that no one cares about it is rather stunning. So, my position is report options as compensation expense, and if you don't agree with that try this: Meat, we will hire you for 90k a year. But we will be putting 50k of that into our stock at now current price. Want to sign on? -g-
