Hi John, re: mag cover, hopefully, the TAist you referenced knows the different between good bullish cover vs bearish cover. For instance, IBM was on many covers when it went aground. AFA CPQ is concerned, Capellas's cover is captioned with doubt, therefore, IMHO, it tilts towards the neutral sentiment with a slightly bearish bias, i.e., people should wait and see. John, Amatuer TA time. For position trading CPQ's 4 and 9 DMA did move just below the 18 DMA last Friday. MACD is below the MACD Signal line and both are in the positive part of the scale confirming a short signal. Stochastics is also below 50 for another short confirmation. However, CPQ hasn't broken below a long term up trend line on my chart. I think calling a short is premature at this point. The weekly chart is still very strong. This is the first chart a good TA looks at to spot strong trends. My guess is that Murphy's buy call is based on the weekly chart and the strong up trend on that chart. The monthly chart just gave a buy signal. IMHO CPQ is basing at this point with a strong bias to the up trend. The basing is telling me that 3Q reports are going to be the deciding factor on future direction. I wouldn't recommend a short at this point. It could be a real bear trap. NW
