Speaking of magazines, I notice we (sort-of) got a mention in Schwab's "On Investing" magazine (a Bloomberg publication) this month. On page 29, in an article about whisper numbers:

"Such 'secret' estimates quickly become public on Internet message boards such as Silicon Investor, where online investors exchange what they've heard about expected earnings. Then, just as quickly, they jump onto whisper sites like Puls's. That's especially true for the hottest and most volatile stocks such as Oracle, Qualcomm, and Sun Microsystems."

I frankly don't recall much emphasis on whisper numbers around here, but c'est la vie.

JMHO, as always.
