Yes Rich, I get the Gilder Tech. Report.

I've read them all. Perhaps your interpretation of things is different from mine. I don't have time to re-read the report, but if there is a place in there where Mr. Gilder says Cisco will go out of business, by all means, bring it to my attention and I'll be glad to then be straight on the matter- much easier for you to prove what is with a quoted sentence, than for me to prove what isn't. Frankly, if you can point to such, I'll be darned surprised as my reading of Gilder currently tells me the man neither believes nor promises such a thing. A pretty reasonable guy that Gilder, he takes the time to acknowledge that his prognostications are just that.

Hey, just check this Gilder quote which Jack Hartman put up a few posts back, "Cisco is increasingly a portfolio of network companies. In my model, it will find itself increasingly purchasing paradigm companies."

That doesn't sound to me like he thinks they are going out of business, quite the contrary. In fact, I believe he acknowledges often that Cisco may do very well.
