Ted said - P. Damoaner has enough arrogance for AMD and Intel combined.

Paul Demone (get his name right <g>) I find is a very intelligent guy with lots of good points and techie expertise.. but like Tom and Anand and all other techie hardware guys... he has an ego and a certainity that he is right in what he thinks.. and when he gets challenged on his points... he tends unfortunately to get a little defensive and a bit haughty (Sorry if you're reading this in your lurker mode Paul... Its what it appears to me and a few others) and yes.. he does come across as being arrogant..

I dont find him particularly biased; he has criticized Intel heavily about IA-64 and feels that project is stuck in mud and wont get far (not because of Sledgehammer.. he feels that Sledgehammer is not or should not be viewed as competition to IA-64, but will be used as an enhanced advanced desktop model.. I think its because he feels the established RISC companies in place will more then be hable to handle Inte;'s attempt into this market)
However, he is very bullish on Williamette.. admittedly more so then others.. and he feels the criticisms of this project are petty or withoutfactual basis.. hence he gets impatient with people who take him to task over his predictions of how great P-4 will be (I believe you can ask dale-laroy here about that.. he's gotten into a few verbal jousts of his own over that topic)

Personally.. I've decided to nickname him "Pentium-4 Paul" on there.. heh heh

He overall isnt a bad guy... I just think his retorts to Scumbria were a bit personal and unwarranted... one can debate without belittling the other person's knowledge.. or the fact that the person he is debating chooses to use an alias and remain anonymous as to exactly who he is due to job reasons.
