Corvis is the only IPO I've received from Etrade and not flipped. I first read about their all-optic routers in MIT's Technology Review.

They have an absolutely amazing product IF they can get it out to market. I think the stock will be at least a 2-4 bagger here if they can deliver what they promise.

I would imagine that CSCO & LU would both be VERY interested in acquiring CORV once Corvis starts to deliver. Granted, at this point, the stock is still speculative.

Hogwash! Jim Seymour makes zero argument as to WHY CORV has such a high valuation. Instead he uses misleading phrases like "key part of the ongoing move-to-optical strategy" and "what looks likely to be a very profitable product line in the near future by absorbing Corvis" and the best of all. . . "no matter how many research and dvelopment dollars Cisco, Nortel and Lucent may throw at their optical programs, they're exceedingly unlikely to pull ahead of Corvis ... and probably won't even be able to catch up.
"

This is why I have always had very little respect for The Street.com. . . .in my opinion, they have tried to portray the image of being on the side of the small investor. When instead they are no different than Barrons. . . or other media firms which cater to the needs of the major brokerage houses and investment banks. Remember Cramer? He is a HEDGE FUND manager for goodness sakes. . . . these are the types that played AGAINST individual investors. You see where that got him once the word spread. He went the way of Hansen, Seal and postage stamps.

I have yet to hear a logical argument as to why Corvis is deserving of a $30 billion dollar market capitalization. Most of the major Fibre Optic Equipment companies have an All-optical router now. . . but the race is FAR from over and at this point, I don't believe there is a single one that is available for sale.

And if you were buying an untried technology like all-optical routers, would you buy it from Lucent? Cisco? Nortel? Agilent? or Corvis?
