Mikey of "Life" cereal fame: You've been eating too many tainted salmon up there in Seattle.

Re: Your analogy to Montgomery, Ala., in '63: You have confused the Dixiecrats with the Democrats. Read more history books instead of spending too much time on this bored. Besides, all the Dixiecrats like Strong Arm Thurmond turned Republican many moons ago. (Is he one of your heroes, too, along with Dubya?)

One more point: Start digging beneath the headlines a little bit. It ain't the Dems who are scuttling the school voucher program, it's the Repubs. Golfing whites in the burbs are telling the Repubs that they already made a choice in their kids' education, and that's why they moved to the expensive burbs. They're telling the Repubs they don't want no minorities bused to their kids' schools under some newfangled voucher program. Dubya's top advisers have told Georgie to back off this one. It won't be much of a factor in the election. So don't go badmouthing the NEA on "school choice."

Regarding union members acting like sheep: All I have to say about that is "Baaaa, baaaa."
