All that I can say is "yawn"....I agree, not much of a boxing night.

Jones Jr. was not that impressive, but I agree, Harding quit.

I did think that Valbuena did a pretty good job tonight.

I don't think that Gainer has much to be proud of with his victory tonight, but he was taking quite a few below the belt himself.

Bronco and Winky were decent, but Bronco did seem to be into the fight.

Etienne v. Couser was a mismatch. Couser got in one lucky shot. But other than that...you could see that he was doomed from the beginning.

just out of morbid curiosity, did roy jones have any kind of a fight on his hands, prior to his opponent quitting?

as i noted just recently, when i hear the name roy jones, i don't automatically think pound-for-pound best fighter. instead i think

non-risk taker.

he's simply never in against anyone who can do him any harm.

or so it seems

:)

Finally saw Jones v. Harding last night.
Here is my report:
Started watching in second round, and thought that Jones looked stiff and susceptible to Harding's jab.
By the middle of the third round, I still thought that Jones looked stiff and susceptible to Harding's jab.
Then I fell asleep. This morning I woke up and decided it was probably for the best that I had forgotten to set the VCR.
