Jan,

Most TA systems are really based on a linear concept. The price has to move first before a signal is given, such as MOVING AVERAGE CROSSOVER or a BREAK of a RESISTANCE/SUPPORT LINE.

The common TIME based systems are cycles.

As for my specific short-term system which produces the CLASS 2/CLASS 1 signals it is much more time based than price based. If you notice, my short-term system attempts to identify a timeframe(within 24 hours) where a reversal could start before there is any change in direction in the price.

Although thats a short explanation, hope that explains it to some degree.

At your convenience, would you(or Don) clarify the term(or focus) of the "time analysis" a little more please? Thanks.

Jan:

I'll leave the time analysis explanation to Don... He does quite well with it...
