Nancy Levitt, an engineer who has spent the last 18 years at Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HWP), recently traveled to Boston to accept an award from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for her distinguished career. One of her gifts was a pocket protector proclaiming "Nerd Pride." The only problem was, it didn't fit in her pocket. The fact that women's shirt pockets are smaller than men's isn't usually an important one, but it's telling that the iconic symbol of the tech engineer isn't one-size-fits-all.

You're teasing me again! That is a very one sided and relatively inaccurate article. I doubt whether there are more than half a dozen people in UK who would willingly risk being mistaken for ..........

Meantime there are others who are having a certain amount of success in the world of technology, be it Bio or High I wonder why some of those were not mentioned in the article. a couple of them are mentioned in the tribute attached to this link, which you might find interesting even if only as a contrarian view.
