Ok, since I hope Palm employees are doing more important things than typing away at chat boards :-) I'll take a crack at this...

Microsoft can wait longer than Palm

I'd say the Justice department took care of this concern. MS won't have the same leeway it did 10-15 years ago.

Technology prices always fall.

This helps PALM more than MS since PALM actually makes hardware. As an example, despite years of doom and gloom prophesying Apple is STILL making heaps'o'money while former PC boxmaker posterchildren like Compaq and IBM's PC division have gotten creamed.

people want compelling application

I answered that in another post by agreeing - and saying the compelling application wasn't an overpriced MP3 player but wireless connectivity. Palm is absolutely trouncing PocketPC on that front.

Compelling applications are inevitable

Yep, and they're by and large being developed for Palm, not PocketPC.

People will use a clumsier operating system.

This claim is self-refuted two sentences later by...

Once users learn an operating system, they stick with it

Palm and its offspring are dominating the market. By this logic it is a foregone conclusion that miniWindows is toast.
