<font color=DarkMagenta>Maurice - re : New Zealand dollar exchange rate -- wasn't New Zealand the country where all the rest of the world was going bonkers over the fact that the Central Bank of New Zealand actually dared to specifically declare that the inflation rate in new Zealand was being targeted ? I remember thinking : Why is this a big deal ? (But, I have learned (from over twenty years of personal experience trading interest rate futures for my own account) that the obvious is often NOT obvious when you are dealing with the mentally-impaired people who trade bonds and/or discuss Federal Reserve policy). Is inflation raging in New Zealand ? (Please try to keep your reply under 50,000 words). Jon.
