Hi Don,

it is my uncultured belief that EVERYTHING BEING EQUAL, meaning the FED is just as interested in GROWTH as they are in their VIGILANCE on inflation, THE HOUSES CONTROL THE MARKETS. That being said, there are periods during the year or TIME CAPSULES in which they exercise this CONTROL or they are at least motivated TO DO or NOT DO certain things as it pertains to their self interest at the expense of the Retail Investor and lesser Houses. These Capsules can be almost any period depending on the psychology of the market and especially as seen or felt by the RETAIL investor. One of the more interesting Capsules is the MON. and Tues. periods of the week. Generally in a Bull market you will have somewhat a DOWN first part of the week and then up the latter part of week. A BEAR market is generally the INVERSE. Other examples of beginning and ending Capsules are Jan. effect, Holidays, Pre earnings period, post earnings period, summer doldrums and return from summer doldrums etc. They are almost always drive by PSCHOLOGY, basically the only thing I am interested in because almost everything else is factored into the price of stocks and the market itself.

THE NEXT TIME CAPSULE TO ME WILL BEGIN NEXT MONDAY - After options expiration and the PSYCHOLOGICAL MOVE INTO FALL. Then we have the earnings Capsule, Election Capsule, Jan. effect Capsule and finally the BIG ONE - the post Jan. effect and I see that one as THE NEXT BIG CORRECTION.
