About the same time table as cdma200 standards which are a bit more chopped up and more spread out.

UMTS standards will evolve in stages, through at least 2005, probably 2007.

'R99' of course is published. 'R2000" due end of Q1 2001, and when published, timetable and scope will be added for next phase.

I would like to know when standards work for 3xRTT will begin.

if China for real, NOK can't wait for wcdma standards (if that cabal can ever agree on them. NOK has to be ready to offer phones to China.
