They have a web site-

amsoil.com

I have talked to a mechanic, who also did a lot of racing, about oils. The synthetics do last longer and don't break down under heat and stress. The downside is they don't seem to protect as well during the first minute of startup each morning where the most wear happens.

He uses synthetic for racing and when he will be taking a long trip, otherwise he go's with the Pennzoil. Pennzoil will last 10-15,000 miles under normal use, the reason for changing it more often is to get rid of contaminates. I used to change my own oil but it seemed every time I put a wrench on a filter the filter would break and that's a mess. I love the Jiffy Lubes.
