In regards to Voltaires strategy to always cover half of his shares, if I am to do that, do I cover ATM or OTM (how far OTM)? Does that still apply even as we get into the exciting part of the year(Nov-Jan)?

I have a bunch of CSCO, QCOM and JDSU that I wouldn't mind picking up some extra income off of by covering them. If I do write calls on them, should I just expect to collect my premiums and let them get called and just kept buying back the stock after it gets called.

Is this strategy to generate income and forgo some capital gains and make life less stressful.

Thank you, I appreciate anyones comments.

Hi Dealie!

I leave for one weekend and and look what happens! You all have a huge food fight and go off and start another thread. I guess I can't leave you alone for a minute.<gg>

I went back and scanned the old thread and agree with the decision to start a moderated thread. It was a last resort type of thing to keep someone that was totally out of control from making the porch a miserable place. It really is sad.

I hope this thread goes as well as the first one did. I look forward to getting back up to 32,000 posts on this one as well.
