Under the terms of the agreement, Compaq will sell, market, and provide systems integration services for Edify's Electronic Workforce(R) (EWF). EWF, Edify's flagship product, is designed to enable quick development and deployment of scalable Internet and voice-based e-Commerce applications. The Edify platform is open, highly flexible, and can automate virtually any customer service application using interactive voice response (IVR), natural language speech recognition, web, e-mail, fax, or wireless devices. EWF will be integrated into Compaq's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution, which is designed to enable institutions to take advantage of leading-edge CRM tools quickly and cost-effectively.
