Edify's Electronic Workforce to be offered as part of
Compaq's Customer Relationship Management Solutions practice

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Edify Corporation, a wholly

multi-channel customer interaction solutions, today announced that it has
signed a distribution agreement with Compaq Computer Corporation. Under the
terms of the agreement, Compaq will sell, market, and provide systems
integration services for Edify's Electronic Workforce(R) (EWF).
EWF, Edify's flagship product, is designed to enable quick development and
deployment of scalable Internet and voice-based e-Commerce applications. The
Edify platform is open, highly flexible, and can automate virtually any
customer service application using interactive voice response (IVR), natural
language speech recognition, web, e-mail, fax, or wireless devices.
EWF will be integrated into Compaq's Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) solution, which is designed to enable institutions to take advantage of
leading-edge CRM tools quickly and cost-effectively. As a result, Compaq CRM
customers will be able to bring their call center solutions to market more
quickly and improve the reliability of their communication infrastructure.
